Join Midwest D-CFAR

Everyone has a part to play in ending the HIV epidemic! Whether you're an investigator, an aspiring researcher, a member of an organization serving communities affected by HIV, someone living with HIV, or simply an individual who wants to make a difference, we welcome you to join us as a Midwest D-CFAR member.

Membership Types

Investigator

The investigator membership is available to faculty members and/or basic and clinical postdoc fellows who are affiliated with WashU or SLU and have an active interest in HIV/AIDS research. Investigators' benefits include:

  • Access to a local and national network of HIV/AIDS investigators

  • Priority access to core services, facilities, and mentoring

  • Eligible to apply for internal D-CFAR funding opportunities

  • Notifications about funding and grant opportunities

  • Updates on HIV-related research and news

  • Invitations to attend D-CFAR educational events, seminars, and meetings

Affiliate Investigator

The affiliate investigator membership is available to faculty who are not employed by WashU or SLU, graduate and undergraduate students interested in HIV/AIDS research, including researchers working outside of academia and physicians who see patients living with HIV/AIDS. Affiliate investigator benefits include:

  • Participation in a local and national network of HIV/AIDS investigators

  • Notifications about funding and grant opportunities

  • Updates on HIV-related research and news

  • Invitations to attend D-CFAR educational events, seminars, and meetings

  • Consideration for access to core services and facilities (depending on availability)

  • Invitations to attend special events for students and trainees regarding career opportunities, education and training

Associate

The associate membership is available to anyone with an interest in HIV/AIDS research, including members of community-based organizations serving people living with HIV/AIDS. Associate member benefits include:

  • Eligible to apply for D-CFAR Partner Pilot Award

  • Funding announcements about grant opportunities

  • Updates on HIV-related research and news

  • Invitations to attend D-CFAR educational events, seminars, and meetings
